June 2, 2017 at 2:18 pm #1039064Hello to all,
I’d like to get the "Search Module" in a site like the one that appears in Template Directory, Please see image attached under another template. Meaning: "search" + "select category" + "select location", in the exact same layoyut like it shows in the picture attached.
Is this possible? if yes, HOW?
Many thanks in advance!
Antonio

June 2, 2017 at 6:51 pm #1039118I have the same request, I want to have a searchbar similar to that one on my frontpage that will lead to the megafilter component’s page. (searching article’s title for example). If it could have the extra filters as in iabicino’s image, that’s even better!
Thank you in advance1 user says Thank You to pallaksch for this useful post

June 5, 2017 at 4:43 am #1039503You can make the layout the same by using module JA MegaFilter, and setting for this module like this: https://static.joomlart.com/images/userguide/ja_templates/ja-directory/k2-filter-advance.jpg
(set module class suffix with a space before it. )

June 5, 2017 at 9:03 am #1039542Hello,
Those options dont seem to appear on my settings. Am i doing something wrong?
(I don’t really care to have dropdown options, a single line search bar would also be ok)Thank you

May I know which template are you using? These settings are available in JA Directory template only. If you’re using another template, you need to customize CSS for it.

June 7, 2017 at 3:12 am #1040167Then you can check how it’s styled in JA Directory template here: http://www.joomlart.com/demo/#ja_directory , use Inspect Element to get the CSS and base on your site to add the CSS style fit with it.

June 7, 2017 at 4:27 pm #1040373Thanks Luna,
another question. Do this styling belong to JA directory only, or there are other JA templates that can be styled like you explained at the beginning? Thanks again

June 8, 2017 at 3:28 am #1040513Yes, this style belongs to JA directory only, default style of JA MegaFilter look like this: http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/1058/5351630794.png
There are other JA templates that can be styled like you explained at the beginning
You still have to mimic style if you’re not using JA Dirtectory.

June 12, 2017 at 2:39 am #1041235Hi,
Exclude file JA K2 Theme while installing. This file uses different way to install, just like this: https://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-component/ja-k2-filter#custom-layout
