July 5, 2012 at 9:21 am #178820Hello everyone. I try to create 2 different modules (one in greek home page and one in english) with different extra fields from different extra field groups. But i think the plugin override configuration isn’t working. See my steps below. My site is greekhorizon.gr
1) I create a “JA K2 Filter” module for English language. In the “Basic Options” of the module i check yes to the “Override plg configuration” and under the “Select Extra field” area i check “Location ” with Filter type “Textbox”, “Price (€) ” with Filter type “range values” and i give values (50.000, 75.000, 100.000, 150.000, 200.000, 250.000, 300.000, 350.000, 400.000, 500.000, 750.000, 1.000.000) and “Area (m²) ” with Filter type “range values” and i give values (50, 60, 70, 85, 100, 120, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400, 500). Then i click save & close.
2) I create a “JA K2 Filter” module for Greek language. In the “Basic Options” of the module i check yes to the “Override plg configuration” and under the “Select Extra field” area i check “Περιοχή ” with Filter type “Textbox”, “Τιμή (€) ” with Filter type “range values” and i give values (50.000, 75.000, 100.000, 150.000, 200.000, 250.000, 300.000, 350.000, 400.000, 500.000, 750.000, 1.000.000) and “Εμβαδόν (τ.μ.) ” with Filter type “range values” and i give values (50, 60, 70, 85, 100, 120, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400, 500). Then i click save & close.
3) The “JA K2 Search Plugin for Joomla 2.5” is enabled but none of the extra fields is selected. Can i do this? Yes or no? So that the extra fields are selected through module and not through the plug in.
4) Either in the Greek or the English language (for greekhorizon.gr site) if you click search without setting any extra field (just click search) you get all search results (K2 items) from both languages.
5) In the English language, if you write in the textbox Location the word “menemeni” and the other two fields are set to any (Any price and Any area) you get one result (i have created only one item having additional info for location “menemeni”). So the results are good. But when i select in the Price (€) field the value (100.000 – 150.000), in the Area (m²) field the value (50-60) and in the location textbox i write the word “menemeni” i get no results, although the search result has 100.000 as price value and 60 as area value (see for yourself “http://greekhorizon.gr/index.php/en/component/k2/item/32-apartment,-130,-180-000,-kalamaria,-thessaloniki”). So the search module works good if i write the location only, but not when i select price values and area values. So i am guessing that something is not good with the Area and the Price ranged values (maybe plugin ovveride isn’t working).
6) I face the same thing with the greek language. if you write in the textbox Περιοχή the word “μενεμένη” and the other two fields are set to any (Any τιμή € and Any εμβαδόν τ.μ.) you get one result (i have created only one item having additional info for location “μενεμένη”). So the results are good. But when i select in the Τιμή (€) field the value (100.000 – 150.000), in the Εμβαδόν (τ.μ.) field the value (60-70) and in the location textbox i write the word “μενεμένη” i get no results, although the search result has 100.000 as τιμή € value and 70 as εμβαδόν τ.μ. value (see for yourself “http://greekhorizon.gr/index.php/el/component/k2/item/31-diamerisma-130,-180-000-thessaloniki”). So the search module works good if i write the location only, but not when i select Τιμή (€) values and Εμβαδόν (τ.μ.) values. So i am guessing that something is not good with the Εμβαδόν (τ.μ.) and the Τιμή (€) ranged values.
Am i doing something wrong? I don’t want to select extra fields from the “JA K2 Search Plugin for Joomla 2.5” but directly from plugin override through module. Is it possible that the plugin override isn’t working properly? If anyone can help me i would appreciate it. Thanks.

July 8, 2012 at 8:26 am #460226(1)(2) You can create group English language and Greek language
Go to Admin site->Components->K2->Extra Field Groups-> Make both language
Create Extra Field match with language you would like to show on the group.
(3) Need to Show extra field groups drop-down(YES) on JA K2 Search Plugin for Joomla 2.5 and select all extra fields.
(4) You need to select language on Module and Override plugin configuration(YES)->select extra field on the group you wish to show and as the result, it will show whichever match with the assigned Language.1 user says Thank You to Ninja Lead for this useful post

July 10, 2012 at 7:56 am #460440You can customize about that here:
Go to components/com_search/views/search/tmpl/ folder
<blockquote>default_form.php and default_results.php</blockquote>

July 11, 2012 at 9:47 am #460592The best way is to override on JA Templale
Copy both file
<blockquote>components/com_search/views/search/tmpl/default_form.php and default_results.php</blockquote>
Paste to
<blockquote>templates/JA_Your_Template/html/com_search/</blockquote>
And override on template folder
