I’m setting up a J2.5/Teline IV site (migrating from J1.5/Teline II).

The search module (top-right corner of page) has a problem in that the search results are displayed at the bottom of the front page, under the modules, and off the screen.

How should this be fixed so that the results appear on their own page?

I see there are some forum posts on this topic from 2+ years ago, but the suggested fixes don’t work.

Note that searching from a menu item works fine. It’s just searching from the search module that’s broken.

    Thanks, Chris.

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for your PM. I entered the module and added the menu ID of the search results page menu item directly in the module and now the search results are showing on a page of their own. Hopefully that is what you wanted.

Yep, that does it. Sorry, I didn’t notice/understand what that “set item ID” parameter in the module was all about.

    Thanks!

Never be sorry for asking for help. We all need it at times. I must admit, I had to think about it for a bit before getting that to work. Normally modules are assigned based on a menu item but for some reason that one needs a kick.

Good luck with your site. Looking really nice.
