Hi, this is in the subfolder Sander when you arrive in the FTP (for admins)
http://www.statikweb.com/sanders/component/search/?searchword=custom+search&ordering=&searchphrase=all&areas[0]=jak2_filter
As you can see, for some reason, the search results for the intro text is not listing the proper intro text. Instead of starting at the beginning of the text, it jumps to the middle of the whole article text (ignoring my read more break) and adds a … at the beginning as well.
Any advice how to get it to display the proper text? It did it for one of my k2 items but is ignoring it for the others, ive even tried deleting and recreating the item.
April 20, 2011 at 8:25 pm #387345make sure to copy whole url text, string cut off the link.
Or just use the side search module and search all for each and youll see the issue.

The search results are returned from the com_search component
it has to include the keyword text inside it so you would see a part of texts at the middle area of articles instead of the beginning. You can also try to search for any other type, for example com_content… to see the search results displaying in the same way.
April 22, 2011 at 7:58 pm #387690Makes sense, but it is returning beginning intro text for everything else im inputting, so why is it not working for 2 specific items?

For two those specific items, maybe the keyword is not located at the beginning part of articles so you saw the middle parts.
April 28, 2011 at 4:16 pm #388857how do i determine what the keyword text is in an article? thank you!

When selecting the “Enable Keyword search” to No in the module back-end the module will add the text of “Custom search” as default keyword and any of your k2 items contains the “Custom” or “search” text in the middle part will be showed that part in the search result .
I changed the default keyword to a text like “abcxys” that maybe will never appear in your items content and now you can check again the search result.
Please check it.

You open the file of modulesmod_jak2_filtertmpldefault.php near the bottom of file you see this line
<input type=”hidden” id=”mod_ja_searchword” value=”custom search” name=”searchword”/>here you change the custom search to other texts, for example to abcxyz
