Is there a way to direct all search results to a custom page? If not would JA consider adding this in future releases? Adding a menu item in the component will help redirect search results.

Hi,

You can not direct search results to a custom page of k2 component, because it depends on the coding standards of k2.

For the search result page, k2 always use generic.php template – not allowed to choose other template.

My issue is this.

I’m using 2 copies of the module, one for my Directory and the other for the Magazine. Each pulls results from their respective groups.
My Directory search is displaying results on its page but the Magazine search is also showing the results on the Directory page and not in the Magazine.

Try it here by entering a search in the top. Directory and Magazine

I would like both module search results to stay on their page.

– It seems the Set ItemID was the solution I was looking for. Can you also explain how Set ItemID in the module works in version 1.0.4? I’ve tried adding a menu id for the search results display but it does not seem to work as indicated in the tooltip.
– Where do I find the “com_jak2” menu as indicated in the tooltip and can a menu item be created from the component?

In version 1.0.4, i added params “Set ItemID”.

To create menu item from the component, it’s being worked upon and will be released in next version.
