Hi,

Try creating a new menu item for Search Results page, and edit the slideshow module to make sure it is not published on this new menu item..

You probably need to edit the com_search module and output the results to a _blank
As Antares is a 2006 era template I don’t have it installed or am going to instal to test etc. So go to your components folder look for com_search and look at ways to direct the output to a existing page or blank page
