They only publish the new template when they are 100% satisfied. 🙂
But I can garantee you that they are working hard on the new template. 😉 And that it will be published in the coming days.

I dunno I do hope they do away with the countdown it causes too much anxiety and a few ppl can’t wait and start uploading before all the files are completely on the server etc

I’ll be happy when they email us and say new template available no countdown, no preview etc

As long as deadlines are kept, I think this is a great solution. It keeps me waiting and anxious. If it however is not available at the posted time I get frustrated and take it out on my clients, which isn’t good. :p

So releasing in time with countdown is great, otherwise just releasing it when it is done is good enough for me!

You problem is coming back from 1 weeks Easter holiday to deal with Computers and Internet that are not cooperating with you plans?

Well, the problem is that I always end up with a problem with internet or computers ( being in the line of business I am of course involved all the time ) A host goes down, a website is hacked, my own computer crashes, internet connection drops. There are endless of problems to deal with. Fortunately I have good friends, partners and colleagues. So in the end my day always end up with a smile on my face.

Hi bernhar,

The team at JoomlArt have decided it would be best to use our new system. We currently (once the template is finished) upload to a restricted area for developer members and moderators (like myself). We “BETA” test the template, report any bugs etc etc. After approx 2 days, the countdown appears and then the template is launched. This enables us to not only get rid of any bugs that may be there, but also to make sure we meet the deadline.

I hope you understand the reasoning behind it, but I’m sure in the end you’ll be very happy 🙂

EDIT: I have just heard word back that the new template should be up ready for testing in a matter of hours, this is for all Developer members and moderators. If you’re not already a developer member, then what are you waiting for? For all other members, the final release will be available to you in the next couple of days.

I have similar problems as a computer repair technician and system builder in a former era I get the panic calls from friends etc please fix urgent, as well as 101 other things you have an advantage you have new g/f, new home lottery win if I remember thats worth a smile.

There is a clean room here suitable for you and g/f if you decide to visit Brisbane area, I’m sure MiCCAS will have room in Melbourne, all we need to do is find ppl in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Darwin and you’ll be able to have a holiday in Australia accomodation free 🙂

Wow Shanny! That sounds great. It is now already 5 years since I went back to trace my roots. Only allowed myself 3 weeks of vacation, which is by far not enough. didn’t even have time to go beyond the west coast ( not even Great Barrier ) So my next visit I need to do all of Australia. Looking forward to free accommodation!

And of course the newly released template in a few hours… Jiihaaa.. Anxious now..
