I have made a second blog menu, now I want that second blog to also have the nice Ores blog layout. When I add 148=blog (148 being the id of the second category) in the Default Layout Overwrite then only the new blog has the blog layout. Is there a way to give the Ores blog layout to more categories?

when using a comma none of the categories show the blog lay out, it seems as if you can overwrite only one page.

I tried many configurations also and could not get anything but 109=blog to work…
Also, I am almost certain that the 109 is the id of the menu item, not the category, such as you said here

you are right, the id’s are menu items.
I can give other menu items the blog layout but it’s never more than one.

Yes I agree – I’ve tried everything I can think of too but only ever get the latest entry for the layout in the params to show up as a blog.

Dear all
If you would like to use more “Blog” in the “Page Layouts Overwrite”, you only make as follow
109=blog
37=blog
each item override is put in each line
The Blog layout only apply for the itemId which has the Category Blog layout as default

That is what I have done in the first place but then in my case only 37=blog would work, not 109=blog.

I have to ad that I believe the problem started after I uninstalled JaComment. No idea how that is related but I did not do anything else to the site thusfar so I thought I’d mention it.

did a fresh installation, removed the JaComment component and problem still exists, look at http://www.hugos.nl I assigned the blog lay out to both the “blog lay out” menu and “the news” menu. only the news is in blog lay out

checked again on other server; installed Ores, put 50=blog in the code but same results, only one menu = blog lay out

Dear reedmachines!
i have found the problem:
1) Please put the setting as following:
109=blog
37=blog
with each line has not any blank characters
Pls try to re-configure again
PS: this is a bug of the template, i have informed our dev to fix it in the last version.

I have tried this on beta and stable and it still doesn’t work – looking at the params.ini using filezilla after inputting second blog details via template manager it shows 109=blogn89=blog and nothing I can do changes this so in this case menu id 89 shows as blog but 109 doesn’t.
Any ideas?
