I am trying to fill the mainmenu with menuitems, but however short i make the items they still jump to make a second row of menu. But as you see there seems to be space for one more item.
I tried not displaying the site tools-part, but it makes no change. I hoped it would give me two items…

Template settings are:
fontsize: 3
tmpl width: wide
menu module: css menu
Ajax: no
Display tmpl tool: see the pics.

How can i make use of the full width of the that topmenu?

Which menu option are you using? Split, Moo, Suckerfish?

Hello Scotty, there’s none of what u mention. Only Split menu, Css, Trans and Droplist.
I prefer to have no ‘children’ in the menuitems.

Ok but which one of the above have you set in your template manager? Each one has a different .css so i need to know which one in order to tell you were to change it.

Ah – it’s set to menu module: Css menu

In that case open /templates/ja_wistery/ja_cssmenu/ja-sosdmenu.css and find on line 100…
#ja-cssmenu li a {
background:transparent url(../images/mainnav-sep.gif) repeat-y scroll right top;
color:#FFFFFF;
display:block;
font-weight:bold;
margin:0;
padding:10px 20px;
text-decoration:none;
text-transform:uppercase;
}

Reduce the part in red to make each button narrower
