Hello guys..

This is a joomla 1.5 general question, since I was unable to figure out how to have it done.

I need to restrict Sections and Categories for articles to editors user groups or to registered/created users..

the thing is..

I am creating sections like, sports, movies, gov, news, life style, and all those follow to diferente authors and aprovers in reality.. but Im usong Telinve IV for Joomla 1.5, so I dont know how to setup special permisions like this…

SportsAuthor —- have access to only edit and submit articles within Sports sections and categories withing it..

SportsEditor —- have access to only Aprove edit and submit articles within Sports sections and categories withing it..

MoviesAuthor —- have access to only edit and submit articles within Movies sections and categories withing it..

MoviesEditor —- have access to only Aprove edit and submit articles within Movies sections and categories withing it..

how do I do that in joomla 1.5 please?

Hi rcerrator,
I’m sorry but tt seems be impossible to assign specific user to a specific section/category in J!1.5. You can do it in higher version of Joomla.
