May 10, 2008 at 4:20 pm #128412I have a couple of issues setting up the template:
The first concerns the template colour, I have set up the colour codes as per the tutorial but the homepage stays at the default. I want ALL the template colours to be the same (green) how do I fix this?
The second issue is with the section display. When you click on the menu item (section) it shows all the articles in full instead of the leading item plus the two column layout as the demo. I have set up the template as the instructions say and I cant see how to alter this.
All the advanced parameters are showing up the message “Element not defined for type = List”
Any ideas?
The site is here if you want to take a look to see what I mean.
Thanks – Nigel

May 10, 2008 at 5:20 pm #248540Nigel, I don’t see any articles under your sections?
The problem with the color is something that I have no idea how can be solved.nigelta Friendnigelta

May 10, 2008 at 5:31 pm #248544If you take a look under “motorcycles” there are a couple of dummy articles. If you give me 10 mins I can add some more.
Thanks for the response 😉

May 10, 2008 at 5:34 pm #248546So, this is a blog of section link?
Are you aware that in the standard joomla display, in order to have “read more” you need to make a break through the button “read more” under your editornigelta Friendnigelta

May 10, 2008 at 6:58 pm #248559Is this what I see the full text of the articles or just the intro?
Go to Article Manager. Click on preferences there and see if you have disabled the “intro text” feature? This is also available from the menu item parameters, so you could check there as well.1 user says Thank You to VisiGod for this useful post

May 10, 2008 at 11:33 pm #248578Yes, the problem seems to be because its a component link and not a section link. I have added a menu item for the sitemap component (xmap) and that displays the same. If you notice, the menu button doesn’t highlight with a colour either, it just stays white on both the “home” and “sitemap” buttons.

May 11, 2008 at 2:18 am #248590Did you buy the beer? 🙂
Open the index.php of your template (you can do that from Extensions->Templates->Ja Teline II->HTML) and change the following line (44):
<link href="<?php echo $tmpTools->templateurl(); ?>/css/colors/theme<?php echo $tmpTools->getThemeForSection(); ?>.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
to
<link href="<?php echo $tmpTools->templateurl(); ?>/css/colors/theme-green.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
Congrats
