Internal Section colors are no longer showing.

On front page…the section colors are correct (JANews)…but when Section heading is clicked and section is opened…all is gray.

I’m sure this is something I’ve done, rather than a glitch…but looking for ideas as to where to begin my search. In JANews I have already checked to make sure the IDs and Colors are correct. Is there a “turn the colors on in the Section view” setting somewhere I may have inadvertantly clicked off?

    Thanks,
    John.

    Hi John

One thing you need to check here …

First of all, log in to the backend as Admin.

Go to Content menu, then Section Manager

Here you will see a list of all your sections. In the very right hand column you will see an ID number for that section. Take a note of one of the ID’s of a section that isn’t working correctly.

Next, go to Extensions menu and then Module Manager

Select the module JA News in the list and open it. Look to Module Parameters on the right hand side of the screen.

You can see which colours are assigned to which section in this part:

If, for example, the section you want to be ‘red’ is not ID number ’13’, then you need to modify this here to your own section ID number.

Let me know if this solves your problem!

    Good Luck
    Chris

    Hi Chris and thanks alot.
While it didn’t solve it, I’m pretty sure now that I had simply screwed something up internally in trying to hack a new module position above the JANews FP area.

Bottom line, I just blew everything out and started again, and the colors returned.

But I would still like to figure out how to add a full width module position (or a couple of 50/50s) between the main menu (horizontal) and the current content area of JATeline.

Ideas you can toss my way?

And thanks again for your explanation above…it has made that area MUCH more clear.

    John.
