    Hi,

I almost have my site layout set, but noticed an interesting quirk that I cannot seem to figure out.

If you go to my site http://www.mira-mesa.com/ and look at the left navigation section you will see:

    Main Menu
    Resources
    Feed Display

That is how I want it. But if you go to a link from the dropdown menu… let’s say the Mission Statement under “About Chamber”… then the “Resources” links on the left side disappear. (see: http://www.mira-mesa.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=47&Itemid=58)

I checked the Template on Joomlart and it does the same thing, except it does not show the “Key Concepts” which I removed from my site. (see: http://template15.joomlart.com/ja_edenite/)

Any idea how to fix that?

Also… How do I get rid of the “Feed Display” in the left navbar. I am sure that is simple… but I am confused.

    Thanks a lot in advance,

    Doug

    Hi Doug,

Lets look at the most obvious possible solution first.

    1. Log in to your backend administration, and hover over MENU – and select menus manager, you will see a list of all the menus on your site, each of those menus corresponds of course to a menu at the top, or the left – or bottom of page. I often check the menu manager because i get confused about which menu i put which menu item.

    2. Determine which menu your top blue ‘about chamber’ menu item is located in.

    3. Now go to Extensions > Module manager – and find the module for your “resources” menu – then click on it and look at ‘menu assignment’ – select or deselect the menus you want the resources menu to appear making sure that the About chamber menu item is selected.

    4. use the same sleuthing for any missing menu items if its missing when you click on say – join chamber – go to extensions > module Manager – and find the module for the missing menu item click it and make sure it appears on menu assignments under – for instance- About Chamber.

as written here it may sound really confusing, but after exploring you will see it makes sense.

Have you got this solved yet? It is pretty easy and should appear as per above instructions.
