At this time we have not plan of updating the seleni tempalte to the new T3 Framework,will nodify you if it would be changed in the near future.

Hi mdavide82,

There is no update on that yet, though i am sure it will be upgraded for Joomla 1.6 in the coming months. Please keep checking the blog, as we would announce it there.
