I have a clean install of Joomla 1.5 (latest nightly build). Everything seems to be working fine, I uploaded Ja_Polaris and made it the default template, again all seemed well.
I uploaded Ja-Senecio and made it the default template and the site WILL NOT LOAD. I get a blank white screen. If I go back to the Ja_Polaris or any other template and make it the default, the site works just swimmingly.
Suggestions?
I have verified that all permissions are writable and I am at a loss now.
Could some default module or plugin in Joomla 1.5 need to be unpublished for this template to work? I am running in legacy mode.
Thanks,

September 28, 2007 at 4:08 pm #230173I just installed a FRESH Joomla 1.0.13 and upload and assigned JA Senecio as default and all I got was white.
Thinking it was my install of Joomla .. reverted to default theme .. and install is good.
Theme is screwy.
Need help on what the deal is.
September 29, 2007 at 5:39 am #230198Yeah…this is strange. I’ve tried several templates and this one is the only one that will not load. This is a totally fresh install with all permissions set correctly and nothing additional loaded except for this template.
October 1, 2007 at 12:14 am #230290ok…here’s a little more info about my system. I still haven’t been able to figure out why this template will not load. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

October 3, 2007 at 8:29 pm #230447i contacted a JoomlArt.com developer and he looked at my situation on my site and the result was that I had renamed the folder “ja_senecio” to a more personalized theme name to reflect my site.
He indicated that it needed to be renamed back to “ja_senecio” .. Not sure why, but it must be that the CSS files and the entire theme code is dependent upon the name of “ja_senecio” … I am not sure if this is the case with all the themes available here at JoomlArt.com.
Hope this helps you out .. Once I made the changes .. it WORKED !!
October 4, 2007 at 11:57 pm #230506helio295….That did it!!! I renamed the folder from “jasenecio” to “ja_senecio” and everything seems to be working. Here’s the thing, after the original install I never renamed the folder. During the install process the template folder was created without the underscore. Does anyone know where the install script gets the name for the folder for the template?
Anyhow, Thanks helio and thanks to the developer who helped him.
