August 25, 2008 at 8:27 am #267125<em>@hainn84 75669 wrote:</em><blockquote>Hi gaygiorgia !
Please check again ! it is ok now ! :D</blockquote>So, what caused the problem with gaygiorgia’s installation, Hainn? I am interested to know what files were fixe.
I did a similar Joomla 1.5.6-Teline II QuickStart installation, it worked, but I have a problem with the Hot Topic.
http://joomla.bayanihan-saranay.com/jte15x099/index.php
I have related question on the Hot Topic, in another thread:

Thanks.

August 25, 2008 at 8:38 am #267129Hi Hainn,
As I stated above, I did not encounter the error reported by gaygiorgia.
<em>@hainn84 75670 wrote:</em><blockquote>i have do it following way below :

Is this a server issue then? For my installation, I did not need to uncomment”

ah ok, if i’ve understood well, it should be a “problem” that has been expected by joomla core developers.
so, it is a problem that “could happen” with certain server configurations. if server gives an error solution is to remove that specific command, right?<em>@hainn84 75670 wrote:</em><blockquote>i have do it following way below :

excuse me, but why u changed permissions? is it a security improvements?
but, above all: if i control every index.php file, i see all of them configured to 755!
have you rechanged to its original 755?Sherlock FriendSherlock

okok it is for security.
now i’m deleting entire venetoinfo.it/quickstart folder. as online test site i’ll mantain venetoinfo.it/1.5.6only last question before i mark thread as “solved”.
which index.php file have u changed (i mean change permission to 755 to 644)?
i repeat: i checked all main index.php and they were setted to 755…now i’m making the change to main online site. it seems to work good! thx.
the index.php file i’ve to change permission is perhaps the starting index.php?
that which is located in the main root (where we installa joomla)?Sherlock FriendSherlock

August 25, 2008 at 9:47 am #267139Yes ! I have change permission of it to “755”. I only change permission of index.php file in quickstart folder , not in root folder.
