    Hi jrod31,

First, it is a great question and there are many people have same concern. The one page template has no differences with any other templates in term of SEO. We have about 3 one-page templates: JA Cloris, JA Mers and JA OnePage, and they are all good for SEO. Please keep in mind that not everything stays in one page, we consider the one-page is just a featured page in a web site and we can have numbers of menus, pages in a website. We support all menu types. You can have numbers of menus besides the Menus for one page. We suggest you to create a good Navigation system, it’s very good for SEO. The navigation will allow your users to travel around your site, not only in the one page.

    Regards.

    Hi Luna,
I mean to open a similar thread but I just found your reply to jrod31 and since I have the same concern, I wanted to follow up with a question related to this thread.

The default layout is perfect for SEO, but my concern is related to the JA Content Popup Module. In your demo website, this module is being used for the “Our Portfolio” section and I love the mouse over effect that goes from grayscale to colored, but the the content that is found in the popup inside this module is not being indexed by search engine spiders/robots. Even if you visit the link directly by copy pasting it, for example “http://joomla25-templates.joomlart.com/ja_onepage/83-content-popup/108-profile.html” it keeps showing the same page instead of the content found inside the popup.

Is there any solution to this ? Because we have important content there that we need to index.

    Thank you,
    Ermal

    Hello Ermal,

<blockquote>Even if you visit the link directly by copy pasting it, for example “http://joomla25-templates.joomlart.com/ja_onepage/83-content-popup/108-profile.html” it keeps showing the same page instead of the content found inside the popup.</blockquote>
Yes, this is how Onepage layout work, it will display content on the same page.

If you want to show content on other page, you can try create new menu item ( no need to be in Main Menu) assign the category of Portfolio to this. When you open up the article, it will be opened in new page

After I create a new menu item and link it with an article. Which then creates a new page it the menu on the new page doesn’t link back to homepage. What do I do to make the menu items link back to the homepage?

    Hello,

Does it mean, after click to new page, the main menu is gone and you can’t go back to homepage ?
Can you share your site URL here ?

    I am a little confused….

In my case i will be using the portfolio section as my service section. This site is a t-shirt custom printing. it’s critical that the pop-up content gets indexed.

    Luna,
are you saying to create an article or a menu – link to an article…??/
    Example:
the 1st service in the portfolio section will be screen printing… when you click on it… -> it opens the box… how do i create that box into an article where we can add keywords.. etc…

    or
do i need to make the portfolio section into links to an article?
    please help.

my site is http://www.gelatospot.com , when I create an article and link it to a menu item then when you go to click on it it will bring you to the article but then the whole navigation doesn’t work after and it just gets stuck on that article page you can click on the navigation but it won’t link you back to any of the site it just gets stuck on that article. I had to delete what was happening because my site is live and I am in business. I can re-create this for you.

    thanks,

    Tommy
