I have SEF turned on and I realized that mod_k2_content is creating duplicate content with the following subdirectories /component/k2/

I already have my items linked to a menu. I believe this is bad for SEO. Anyone knows how I can resolve this? I need the links produced by mod_k2_content to be the same as the one generated by menu items.

    Hi John, unfortunately its not.

    Menu item creates
    http://domainname/category/item/alias

mod_k2_content creates the follow instead of pointing to the URL above
    http://domain/component/k2/item/alias

I want it to be the same URL

Got a URL of the issue?
We’re all trying to get spun up on K2.

Thanks! I’ve sent you a PM on this as I don’t want it in public yet.

    Thanks for the help!

I just noticed something. If i place the k2 item in the parent category, i do not see “component/item” as part of the URL. It only happens if you have it as a sub category.

So in a way, I cant have a subcategory without having articles with multiple URL when using mod_k2_content?

as you and me discuss on this issue.

The problem happened, because the list of k2 item did not relate to any menu item on the site. so that you must to create a menu having the menu type is the “Categories” Blog and choose a category contain this list of k2 items

    Good luck

hi tienhc, thanks for the response.

That isn’t the problem. I did create a menu item that linked to it at the bottom of my page “top menu” as you recommended but I still faced the issue.

Anyway, I have resolved the issue. sh404sef seems to be the only solution.
k2 support is pretty terrible. Posted the problem in their discussion area and never really got a response. The whole experience of trying to solve these problems are really frustrating. nvm. Thanks for trying to help once again.
