Ok. I managed to rescue my lost data. However I get the same problem on frontpage blog layouts – everything else works a treat.

I recently installed Sulfur on my site http://www.gadgetgrotto.tv.

After installing it I realised that column left and right were not aligning properly. I read through a couple unanswered threads about it where you suggested using the quickstart install.

So I did… I now find that all of my content has gone missing and I cant seem to copy the SQL data across into the new jos_ files.

Help. There’s a years load of data that I need to recover.

Did you backup your tables before installing the quickstart?

You said that you solved the biggest part, i just had a look at the site and im not sure what is left to be fixed.

Can you be more clear about what problem remains?

if you did the quickstart, did you create a new database, if so, all of your old data will still be in the original site db, all you need to do is go to your global config, i think on the server tab, and point tpt the old db

you should always backup your site before making any changes to it, I recommend joomlapack

    Hi Mark

You’re absolutely right. I should know better.

The problem with the site right now is that when I use the frontpage blog for the homepage the right and left columns align underneath the main body column.

This problem only occurs when you use the frontpage blog. A normal category or section blog or article view doesn’t have this problem.

Is there a suffix that’s supposed to be used for the frontpage blog?

I’ve set the frontpage blog up as home so you will see what I mean.

    Thanks for your help.

    Jim…
