How can I set the custom Layout I made to be the Default Layout when the template loads for the first time.

Is there an ini or xml I can edit to set this? or do I have to overwrite the existing Default Layout with my Custom Layout?

Found it!

Template Manager -> JA Social -> Profiles -> Advanced Settings -> Layout Settings -> Desktop Layout choose your preferred default from the drop down list.
