    Best Regards,</blockquote>

    Hi Hung,

thanks for the links but I’ve already looked at them. The Tabs does not allow me to add modules. How do I get the “Enter content Code” section to become editable?

As far as the Jobboard, when I installed everything nothing was enabled. So I enabled all the modules and now everything is being shown in the front page. So I am going through and selecting the menus for each of the modules. But there is no documentation on how to setup a site in general. An example would really help, i.e. instructions on how you set up the demo site.

The existing documentation is structured more like a reference, great for looking at the parts individually. But it is difficult for me to setup the site because I do not understand the relationships between the parts and how they interact and the sequence in which things should happen.

I would be happy to document the process that I will use for my site (and share it with you) if you help me through the general configuration of it.

    Thank you

    Hi Hung,

cloning demo site seems to be down, I can not create a new job site. I want to see how the Extensions -> Module Manager is configured since it is disabled/missing on your demo site http://jobboard.joomlart.com/

Is it possible to get that up and running soon?

    Thank you

    Hi robgib0,

I’m just trying to get setup, the components seems decent enough, just needs better documentation.

what kinds of issues are you having?

dont get me wrong….the component is good……but NOWHERE can i find a synopsis or guide to the logic behind how the database works in terms of parameters……………….the default settings in distribution may well work as the demo board…..but trying to work out the config for the billing system.or any other approach…………no variations seem to work without a problem…………..aside from the fact i cant get jobs to display at all (bug i think!!) i have time and again compromised on the way i have intended using this….only for each new approach to throw up a different set of exasperations!!! i know theres a language barrier but i have been using joomla for a long time to build sites and i have never had so much frustration!!!!

all i want is employers post for free for lifetime (have now settled for this!!!as alternative option)

and job seekers account last seven days then if they want to renew they can when they next need to search………………

    AAAAAARRRGGGGHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    lol

    Hi robgib0,

Oh I see, I’m new to both Joomla and this Job board (JB) so it’s a double whammy for me. I just can’t get my head around how the menu system should be configured for this job board. Did you have to enable/disable the menus for each JB module? If so how did you know how to do it, trial and error?

    Have you tried Jobs! Pro?

with joomla is just a case of selecting which pages you want menus to appear on-the jobsboard menu is preconfigured
you just have to pick which PAGES you want it to appear on……….

depending on your template……….enable all the modules on one page…………then by a process of selection
you can switch on /off and then decide which ones go on which page………….

thanks for heads up on Jobs pro will have look……………………

    Sent you a PM.

Btw, when you first installed Job Board and then registered an employer, did you get a “404 – Component not found” error when clicking on the View Resumes/View Applications/View Job Posts links? When I click on cPanel it works but not for the other links. Am I doing something wrong? Is there another way to create jobs?

Anyone from JA Job Board can help?

    thanks for link……..

sounds like a publishing issue…….have you got all modules published and the permissions set to public on all modules in joomla?

If you mean “Access Level” yes they are all public except for Latest Resume and Statistic, and everything is Enabled.

Now that I check, all the sub menus under cPanel also don’t work. ughh.

    Hi Ethan,
I have the same problems. 1.5.3 has to many bugs and the 1.5.1 stable ist also buggy!
I have paid and I got a software which I cannot use in a production area.
For example created jobs are not visible. How is the demo.jobboard running and the donwload-Files not!!!!
    regards Jochen

Seems like there is many of us out there completely unhappy and all have paid high money for a buggy component.
A real thumbs down for JA on this one, refused me a refund as I also joined in oct11 for the component took the gamble as all seemed well.

Where are real examples of the comp in action, 0

I am going to add a new post now asking for people unhappy with the component, please add your name there to show our disappointment, even lets all review it in the extensions directory, only fair

Hoping they bring out a bug free version for 2.5 asap and make it simpler to set up, with he same potential power.

    Thanks,
think this is the right way.
The software is definitly not for use in production sites.
