Since yesterday and the desaster of ja jobs I am testing JS jobs from Joomshark. It runs and do the things…The business version costs 90 bucks. But it runs. Also under Joomla 2.5.3
Think then ja jobboard is free from bugs, it will be the better joice. But not in the moment.

Everyone who is unhappy with JB should get together as one, I get no where aloneP

Hi pdfx,
I feel your pain as I have been going through all the same problems. Yes the product is buggy, but I am still thinking it saved me tons of time and money by having a framework to start with.
Yes you will need to find developers to fix the problems and I agree, they should have tested it better and/or taken each bug report they found and applied the fixes to the production version. But as it is now, I’ve made too many fixes to the core code to upgrade. I’ve gone down my path for too long.
On the positive side, JA does seem to be responsive to support tickets and have generally been good to work with. So it’s a mixed bag and I’m thinking in the long run it’s a net positive that I bought the component and fixed it up.
I think what would be productive is to help them. Perhaps you or someone would be willing to run a post just managing the bugs, I’d love to contribute to it, but I just don’t have time to manage it since I’m behind schedule and I’d like to get my site launched.
If this “collection of bug fixes” post gets created I hope it gets a permanent sticky at the top.
Thanks and good luck all!
April 2, 2012 at 5:44 pm #446929Hi Jobslahc,
think you are right!
I wrote last week with JA and they promised me to deliver this week 1.5.4 in a running status.
They are not bad, I think they have at least not enough manpower to solve the problems.
Greetings JochenApril 2, 2012 at 6:07 pm #446933<em>@hwshop 311798 wrote:</em><blockquote>Hi Jobslahc,

I would love to upgrade to 1.5.4 but I’m scared of losing my changes, hopefully some of my bug reports helped with the new version 😉

April 3, 2012 at 9:22 am #447080i think language barrier doesnt help…………but also………the whole open source approach that you see on other projects where the devs and mods share the fixes to the bugs etc and explain what the problem is and how it was fixed….would allow a lot more user help and development…….. its the not knowing i agree that is most painful!!!!

April 3, 2012 at 9:39 am #447087Hi everybody,
been configuring for months, got good help from HUNG, but its is very odd the things are going.
I don’t give a F*CK, about the money, but a waste of months and monhs of work.
Realising projects is more worth than a bit of money (pocketchange).i’m dissapionted, what can i say more

Yeah, the biggest waste is my precious time and energy. I just hope they took everyones’ contributions plus their own testing and rolled it into 1.5.4… I’ll find out this weekend when I upgrade.
