Our site has been upgraded from 1.5 Ja Teline to 3.1 Ja Nex successfully, and it works fine on the desktop. I now need some basic guidelines to how to set up for mobile. I set up a test site using the Quickstart, and I’ve looked at what’s set up there, but it’s of limited value. Is there a tutorial somewhere that gives step-by-step instructions for editing the layouts and assigning modules? I’d appreciate any help.

The specific problem is that on the live site (as opposed to the quickstart test), I can’t change the profile settings in Admin. (In template manger, Ja_Nex->Options->Profiles in the bottom section.) Right now all devices are set to default…and the dropdown selector for all but Desktop Layout disappears below the border for the section. It looks like this:

Sorry, I can’t give admin access…it’s a live site with live customer data. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You can refer our T3v2 framework documentation on editing the template layouts(desktop, mobile, handheld) at http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_T3_Framework_2/Guides#Layouts. Assigning module to menu items is just a general Joomla configuration that you can simply do it with a useful Joomla wiki at http://docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_assign_a_module_to_specific_pages%3F

This overflow issue of layout dropdown selection was already fixed in our recent version of JAT3v2 system plugin. You just need to backup the site and update the latest version of JAT3 system plugin. Then clear JAT3 cache (The button at top right).

After updating the system plugin, you can try to edit and save the profile settings again.
