May 13, 2009 at 2:41 pm #141154Hi all
Does the sh404sef and xmap programes work together?
I have tried to install a sitemap in 1.5 but keep getting errors do you need to do something to get these two to work?
If these don’t work anyone got an alternative?

May 13, 2009 at 2:45 pm #304540I’m using both on my photography site right now. So yes they do work together. Are you saying that you are not able to get them to work together?

May 13, 2009 at 3:22 pm #304545Well I got your site map but there was no formatting of the page. I don’t remember clearly because I set mine up a while ago, but I think you probably need to download the sef_ext from the xmap website. Try that and let me know.

May 13, 2009 at 3:22 pm #304546Problem seems to be that sh404sef is not giving the menu a SEF name.
If I unenable the sh404sef the xmap works in a fashion, that is its shows a site map but has viewing errors
Bill view again I think you saw it with sef turned off

There is your clue. You need to install the sef_ext from either the xmap site or from the sh404sef site. Try that and I’ll check back later.

May 13, 2009 at 3:39 pm #304551Could not find the sef_ext if you have a link I would welcome it.
It is now showing but I it set to skip.
What if I make a new custom sef out of
/index.php?option=com_xmap&sitemap=1&Itemid=100014 and call it sitemap.
would that work?

Hiya phil!
Yes making a custom sef would work.
The plugin mentioned before you can find here:
