    Hi all

Does the sh404sef and xmap programes work together?

I have tried to install a sitemap in 1.5 but keep getting errors do you need to do something to get these two to work?

If these don’t work anyone got an alternative?

I’m using both on my photography site right now. So yes they do work together. Are you saying that you are not able to get them to work together?

    Hi Bill

I have it installed, I set up a menu and linked it to the xmap and when I press the menu I get

The website declined to show this webpage
    HTTP 403
    Most likely causes:
•This website requires you to log in.

    What you can try:
Go back to the previous page.

So once again me is stuck

Link to sitemap bottom of page

Well I got your site map but there was no formatting of the page. I don’t remember clearly because I set mine up a while ago, but I think you probably need to download the sef_ext from the xmap website. Try that and let me know.

Problem seems to be that sh404sef is not giving the menu a SEF name.

If I unenable the sh404sef the xmap works in a fashion, that is its shows a site map but has viewing errors

Bill view again I think you saw it with sef turned off

I’m on my way out right now but if you don’t get it working I’ll pick up this thread later today.

There is your clue. You need to install the sef_ext from either the xmap site or from the sh404sef site. Try that and I’ll check back later.

You couls also use the skip function in sh404sef for the time being but you won’t get sef url’s.
    Be back later.

Could not find the sef_ext if you have a link I would welcome it.

It is now showing but I it set to skip.

What if I make a new custom sef out of

    /index.php?option=com_xmap&sitemap=1&Itemid=100014 and call it sitemap.

    would that work?

    Hi Phil,
ftp the above file to /components/com_sh404sef/sef_ext/ then use the original settings in sh404sef (turn off skip) when it asks you to clear the url casche select yes then imediatly browse the site map.
    Let me know.
