I sent this issue to the sh404sef forum and got the reply that it was template related.

I’ve tried to “hide” all options in the article manager to not show “Category: sh404SEF custom content” with no success. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The response on the sh404sef forum (from the admin) was

I`m afraid this is not related with sh404sef and it`s related with that template you`re using

Please try to hide category name in category settings of “sh404SEF custom content” category.

Can you please describe more fully where this is done. In sh404sef or core Joomla admin?

directions like Components > sh404sef > Control Panel > sh404sef Config for example would be helpful. Thanks!

Another interesting link that displays the word “ARTICLES”. I cant seem to get rid of this word either.
