I have a small problem with sharing articles on Facebook. Normally there should be title, thumbnail and meta data.

But I only see title and thumbnail only on my website (http://ferwafa.com). The meta data is replaced by site name instead.

Can you please fix that for me? My username for JoomlArt is “brightzahabu”. Thank you.

    Hi Eric,

The description of a Facebook post is in the meta description tag on a page that you want to share.
That means, you must update metadata description for your pages to get it displayed in the FB post.

If you need further assistance, please let me know.

Thanks, it’s now working as expected. I didn’t know it before. How isn’t there an option to auto display the first paragraph of content instead of putting it first manually? If there’s a way, please let me know.

Thank you for showing me how I should display the description text in Facebook. After fixing that according to your instructions, another problem occurred: “Ja News can’t index new articles.” I’ve updated but the module is showing only articles prior to fixing the Facebook issue.

Thanks. But I’m met with another unexpected problem after fixing the other one with Facebook. Starting today, Ja News doesn’t display new articles. What can I do to make it work again? Only old articles are displayed in Ja News on my front page and that’s not good at all. Thank you for your help.

    It’s maybe a cache issue.
Please try to clean cache and test again.

    Hi,

    I’m having the same problem,
Doesn’t matter which page I want to share with facebook I’m still getting the same meta description.
How can I make it get description from the article and not the meta description?

    Thanks in advance.
