Joomla and Joomlart have released an update almost same time for JA Social. What would be best practice to update both. First Joomla’s update from 2.5.4 to 2.5.5 or JA Social template update from 2.5.2 to 2.5.4?

Ofcourse backup will be done prior these.

Hi icbl

I have just done these steps for one of my sites with Ja_Social

1) Backup using Akeeba component

2) Installed on localhost to verify that everything works fine

3) Update Joomla to the last version

4) Update the Ja_Social template through Ja_Extension manager component

5) Take a new backup

Result : everything works fine
