The clever ones will notice it is in a subdirectory. I can’t get SH404SEF to work :(( and I think the subdirectory is the problem – I’d love to move from Google page 800 (or what ever). Can anyone help please.I can’t even figure out what should be on and off in the standard Joomla confuration page – ie SEF off?</blockquote>
Problem solved
here’s how –
You need to edit the joomla confiuration.php – CHMOD to 755 first
edit your joomla configuration.php and look for var $live_site = ‘ ‘;
in my case, i changed it to var $live_site = ‘http://www.moldavite.me/2009’;
save
CHMOD back to previous setting
For anyone else who is confused – you turn the SEF ‘on’ in the Joomla Config pagebeadit Friendbeadit

Because the address in the address bar is wrong. There is an index.php in the middle of the address which I can’t get rid of.
Back to the drawing board!

September 21, 2010 at 2:55 pm #356262My site http://integratedlasertherapies.com has been up for a while using the original Zeolite. I’m just starting a new revision using either Zeolite ii, Kyanite ii, or some combination

Nice work – very professional looking and nice customization with the colors.Ironically, I too am using elements from Zeolite and Kyanite on my latest project – two of my favorite JA templates (to date).

Are you using VirtueMart on your sites? If so, any gotchas I should avoid?

Not sure what you mean by “gotchas.” VirtueMart is an os shopping cart component – so customizing it to your needs (if you should so choose) will involve a bit of research and learning – though completely doable. In my experience, VM is much easier to work with than is Magento – and what VM lacks out-of-the-box compared to Magento, there are MANY developed extensions available to bridge the gap.Also, there are quite a number of very cool VM theme developers out there who offer stylish Category and Fly Pages (aka: product pages) for VM. One of my favorites is http://www.poweredbyvirtuemart.com
Be sure to check out the VM Extension Directory –> http://extensions.virtuemart.net/
