    URGENT

Once again things on this template are letting me down!

Added 3 new boats and on the home page where the Side News Module goes “left” position.

The images are not displaying the small 60×60 ones.

If you look at the source code its not even showing a reference to an image and there is no thumb generated in the images>resized folder where the others reside.

This is an urgent issue on a live site please help!

My site has got worse http://www.medboat.com I tried to turn off the Thumbnail plugin and then back on again, it looks like it is no longer generating thumbnails.

This is an important site and is my own business, it looks terrible and I need urgent assistance….

It could be a change in the shared server config, I don’t know HELP!

So now frontpage featured and frontpage sidenews have no thumbnails….

    Fixed the first image.

Your naming of image is wrong… it should not have spaces in it. you need to add _ or – in the image name.

    1_Astondo72_mallorca.jpg << correct

    you are using 1 Astondo72 – Mallorca.jpg

change file names for all the affected articles and let us know.

I will try but I have 100’s of boats listed with the same image titles and no problems, these titles are presented in the image showcase and this title is used.

But what about the images in the featured area of the front page these should be 60×60 and it is pulling in the large versions? This worked until I switch the plugin off, and then back on again….

You can see here that on other pages it works:

    <img align=”left” title=”Sir Anthony – Classic Motor Boat Charter – Puerto Banus & Marbella” alt=”Sir Anthony – Classic Motor Boat Charter – Puerto Banus & Marbella” src=”/images/resized/images/sir-anthony/1 Sir Anthony_60_60.jpg“>

The problem is because linux does not like spaces in file names as explained above.

Here is a little article about the problem – http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/10954

You would eaperience the same whatever template you used, it is a linux issue.

    Hi Phil

I understand what you are saying but why do over 100 boats listed the same way not have a problem?

Just changing some things but I think it may be the hyphen on those boats and not the space. The images have to be names like that so the title display correctly i the SIGE plugin.

However why has this issue suddenly appeared along with the frontpage featured articles not showing their thumnails?

    I still have this problem?

This may sound weird but it is what I found….

Nothing to do with the hyphen, if I use the editors image button it adds %20 to the images, eg 1%20Astondoa%2072.jpg whilst this does not cause any problems on the article page it will not generate a thumbnail.

However as I usually work in the code and if you add an image URL directly on save it does not re-write the %20 and keeps the 1 Astondoa 72.jpg intact. As mentioned earlier this is important for the image title in the slideshow.

But the main issue the images on the 3 featured articles on the frontpage are now no longer resizing to 60×60 and they are not related to this issue at all?

Ah ha somebody just fixed the frontpage…

Who did it and what was the problem?

One of the stars of JA (Hien) noticed that in your JA Thumbnail Plugin you did not have the box ticked that enabled the resizing of images for the frontpage category. Once that was set the correct thumbs were applied.
