    Hi there,

Our sidebar 2 and breadcrumb are missing when the products information is accessed through the tabs of the home page.

However, this problem doesn’t occur when you access the same product from the main menu options: /Asset inventory/manufacturing/and then choosing the product from there.

Please see the attached pictures with examples for both scenarios.

URL accessing from tabs at the home page: http://www.zzunn.com/index.php/component/virtuemart/view/productdetails/virtuemart_product_id/1260/virtuemart_category_id/17

URL accessing trough the main menu options:
    http://www.zzunn.com/index.php/asset-inventory/industrial-equipment/manufacturing/view/productdetails/virtuemart_product_id/1260/virtuemart_category_id/17

I notice that the URLs are different, but since we are talking about the same product, shouldn’t they be the same…?

The tabs are displayed bellow the product description, and when you click again in product from there, it will go to the right URL. It seems that the problem is only caused by the tabs located at home.

    How do we fix this…?

    Thank you for your support.

    Hi @cbc575,

    It’s because they’re using different layouts :

    1. In case you access the product via tab in home page, you will see the product and the menu item Home on the left is highlighted, which mean it will use the layout from template assigned to menu item Home (or Sub Layout)

    2. While you’re accessing the product via product category page, the menu item Asset Inventory >>> Industrial Equipment >>> Manufacturing is highlighted, and the layout from template assigned to this menu item will be used instead.

    Hi @cbc575,

Could you please provide a temporary admin account via private reply so I can have a look at your setting ?

@adam M unfortunately that is not an option, please let me know which files and print screens you need to see and I will be more than happy to send them to you.

    Thank you.

Do you guys happen to have any updates for this issue, clues about what it needs to be changed.

I remember I had this issue before but fortunately I realize about it and was able to reverse it right away. I know it’s a set up.

    Thank you.

    Hi @cbc575,

Please provide below info so I can try to check :

    1. What template style are you using for menu item Home ?

    2. What template style are you using for menu item Asset Inventory >>> Industrial Equipment >>> Manufacturing ?

    3. The screenshot in Layout tab of both template styles you’re using in point 1 and 2.

    4. What template style are you using as default template and the screenshot in Layout tab as well.

If anyone is having this issue, it has nothing to do with the layout, @adam M was completely wrong.

It took me several days to figure it up and it was actually quiet simple.

It turns out that because I was working on the store and didn’t want Google to in index the pages with the information of the quick start template, I turned off the SEO for Virtuemart, which caused an a problem with the friendly URLs. Long story short, go to Virtuemart/Configuration/SEO/ and make sure your “SEO Disabled” box is UNCHECKED.

    Regards,
