July 6, 2014 at 8:49 pm #199468Hello –
I’ve noticed at certain browser widths the three horizontal bars on the menu that are the link for the sidebar overlay the rightmost text menu item. This only happens at certain browser widths.
I did a search through the Sugite forum and did not see this issue addressed.

July 7, 2014 at 12:37 am #541307Hi there,
I’ve played with narrowing down your web-site width by dragging my mouse pointer under Chromium and Firefox and however slowly I was doing it, I could not reproduce the overlay at your screenshot.
Could you please describe how and under what browsers you can reproduce that overlay?
Regards,
Alex

July 7, 2014 at 12:56 am #541308Thanks for the quick reply Alex.
I’ve tested and replicated the problem on Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, all current versions. No matter which one I use, the 3 bars overlap with the menu text. I am using Windows 7 on the desktop and Windows 8.1 on the laptop.
Even when I installed Sugite fresh using the Quickstart 3 (Joomla 3) file without any alterations it happens.
I notice on the Joomlart Demo Page that the 3 bars are right next to the Language icon and it seems to keep the bars at the right distance at all widths.
Try this: open up the Chrome browser. Make the browser window as wide as possible with ‘using the ‘maximize’ button on the window. Then move the right side of the browser window at any speed, slow, fast or in between and the bars travel to the left and eventually overlap the far right menu text.

Thank you.

July 13, 2014 at 8:48 pm #542156Hi – wonder if anyone else was able to replicate this problem as I have.
Since I have been unable to find a solution I have turned of the Sidemenu.
Anymore help would be appreciated.

July 14, 2014 at 8:17 pm #542314Hi there,
Apology for the delay due to the weekend.
Could you please test for us if vanilla install of JA Sugite Quick Start pack for J! 3.x exhibits the overlay you experience on you site?
On my Linux sandbox the menu items would disappear the first thing after I minimised the browser and start dragging the right border of the browser to the left, so there would be nothing for the off-canvas navbar knob to overlap with:

Alex

July 14, 2014 at 8:49 pm #542320Hi Alex. Here’s a vanilla right out of the ‘box’ Sugite test site. Just installed it after I got your post. It’s on WIndows 7 in a Chrome browser (in fact it happens in all my browsers). A friend just tested it on Chrome in OSX and has no problem. Since it’s happening on all my browsers, maybe it’s a browser extension problem. I’ll check my extensions.
Edited to add: Hi Alex. I installed Safari on my Win 7 PC and Safari does not have the problem my other browsers have with the overlapping.
So at this point I’ll look for something that’s common to my different computers and browsers.
Thanks for testing this out on your side. If I find a solution I’ll post it here.
