January 19, 2014 at 5:29 pm #193877I have changed the text color in the template as you suggested in an earlier post for the side navigation panel. After doing this the color does not change in the no-sidebar style for pages photos, video and blog. What else can i do to change the text color to white on these pages. I have also change the template css to match below in the busblue and red theme which i also use, still no changes on the above mentioned pages.
Thank You

January 19, 2014 at 11:22 pm #518970Can you temporarily set your site to “Development Mode” so I can take a closer look?

January 20, 2014 at 7:49 am #519034Hi Linda,
In fact, you found the correct css styles of side navigation text color. What you need is to create a custom.css file at templates/ja_magz/css/ path and insert your override codes into that file.

January 21, 2014 at 7:45 pm #519293Do I put only that section of the code in the custom file. As i said I am a NEWBIE!!!
I created a custom CSS and placed it in the file as you indicated
This is what is in the custom css file
3-mainnav .vert-nav .side-nav .t3-megamenu .nav > li > a {
background: none;
color: #ffffff
font-size: 12px;
font-weight: 700;
text-transform: uppercase;
padding: 15px 20px;I placed the custom css file in the file you indicated and in each theme file.
There is no change. The no sidebar of photos, videos and blog side navigation do not have white text as the Home and news page do.
The site remains in development mode in case you need it that way.
Please help.
Thanks

January 21, 2014 at 8:54 pm #519298I turned development mode off and cleared the cache, cleared the browser and now my site is completely off kilter. Please tell me what is going on here. I have no idea what is happening.
Everything has moved.
Help!!
The slideshow module has moved to the top it seems, leaving a big gap in the middle. In addition when you click on home or anything on the top menu it takes you to the slideshow module. I have touched nothing with the slideshow and the only change I made was as directed with the custom css file. Please tell me how to correct this as I have said I am a NEWBIE and I need to fix the site.
Please help!!

January 22, 2014 at 3:10 am #519324@1zindzhi: Below are my suggestion:
1. There should be only one custom.css file in /templates/ja_magz/css folder, you should not copy to each theme’s folder. There maybe something wrong with your custom CSS, please try to set Optimize CSS option in template manager to No and send us screenshot of how you want to achieve so that we can help.
2. For the slideshow, you can check again the position you assign this module. As we mentioned in user guide of this template, it’s assigned to home-30 position.

January 22, 2014 at 5:25 pm #519403When I removed the custom css file the slideshow problem corrected itself and it was already at pos30.
I have attached a pic below of navigation bar. I simply want the text to be white. First I was rold to change to white in the css file. i did and that did not change it. Then I was told to make a custom CSS file. That has not worked either. See above for all the steps i went through in other responses.
In regards to the Optimize CSS I turned it to off, there is not a NO.
Any help is appreciated.
Note: The blue text is on the photos, videos and blog pages.
Linda

January 23, 2014 at 3:10 am #519441Hi Linda,
As I can see the markup of vertical navigation in that photos page is a bit different from the one in homepage. Would you mind sending me a PM with admin and ftp account of your site? I will help to check further.

January 24, 2014 at 8:23 am #519646I just accessed backend of your site and found out that the problem came from settings of JA Magz – nosidebar style which you assigned to photo page. In this template style, you don’t set to use Megamenu for Navigation but Joomla module instead: http://prntscr.com/2m2dlw
I changed it for you and the section menu is working now.
Please have a look and let me know if this helps.
