    If I copy the source code you provide for the signup and download buttons, it does not display in my site the way it looks on the demo site. Only the left half of the button displays with the right part only hyperlinked text.

    What do I do wrong? I use the code as given in the user manual.

    Thanks

    Hello Marwa

    there could be many reasons, I’d need a live url to look at the site itself and then I can check the source code for errors etc etc

    please post a live url for me and I’ll get on it right away
    Cheers ShannonN

    Hi Marwa
    looking at the source code for the demo page you have not used the same code as the guide says, here is your page source code for the Download button on your page, I have formatted it the same as the guide

    <a href=”yourlink” title=”Your title”><span class=”download”>
    <strong>
    Your title
    </strong>
    <span>
    Your description
    </span>
    </span>
    </a>

    Here’s the same code from the guide to show the mistakes

    <a href=”yourlink” class=”but-download” title=”Your title”>
    <span class=”download”>
    <strong> Your title
    </strong>
    <span> Your description
    </span>
    </span>
    </a>

    The part in red in the code from guide is missing from the code on your site

    similarly this is missing from the code on your page
    class=”but-signup” in the sign up button example

    include the missing class ( this is for the buttons) and it will work

    Cheers ShannonN

    It appears to be the same issue, Tom there is a missing class “but – etc etc etc ”

    your code
    <a href=”yourlink” title=”Your title”>
    <span class=”download”>
    <strong> Your title <
    /strong>
    <span> Your description
    </span>
    </span>
    </a>

    read the code samples from my previous post for corrections

    please guys can you read your guide again,
    and tell me if there is any mistake (typos) in your
    guide? Mine is ok, but I nay have a revised version?

    It just seems strange two following the guide get the same
    error in code at same point etc

    Cheers ShannonN

    If you insert it using the wysiwyg editor it seems to do that.

    Hi

    That’s correct wysiwyg editor (Tiny) can not handle class=”but-download”

    Can you give me your url?

    This is extremely aggravating. I’m having the exact problem. The editor will not save the proper code and the bottom half of my button is cut off.

    I don’t want to post my URL in the thread, but will be happy to PM someone with it who can assist me.

    Thanks!

    Okay. I finally figured it out. In the Administrator panel I went to Site > Global Configuration > Site and selected “No WYSIWYG Editor.”

    I made sure the code was correct and the buttons work now.
