May 23, 2012 at 11:37 am #177436I am working with a client who needs a Magento theme, but we’re having a hard time deciding which one. If we go with the single developer license, do we get access to download/evaluate as many themes as we wish before we make the decision to go with a specific theme?

With a Single Developer license, you can download the one theme you want and you are entitled to lifetime updates for that theme. For evaluation of the various themes prior to making your decision, I recommend you utilize JA’s DEMO BUILDER
To use JA’s DEMO BUILDER, follow these simple steps . . .1. Go to the demo page of the Template/Theme you want to learn from2. Click the “Demo Builder” tab on the left
3. Complete the information and select the template you want
You will then receive an email with your access link for the temporary demo site.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This temporary site is housed on our own servers and will only be available for a limited time
– generally 24 to 48 hours.

May 24, 2012 at 12:22 am #454611I know Joomla and versions reasonably well, but not Magento. Looking at your first page of Magento themes if I go into the demos I see that some say for Magento 1.7, others 1.6.1 and further along, some have no version information at all.
Since 1.7 seems to be the current Magento, how do I know which older themes will work with 1.7?
Or say we choose one such as Feronis which is 1.6+, is the upgrade to 1.7 reasonably easy and is the template compatible?
