    Hi Everyone

I did ask this question some time back and never found a solution, but I believe that may have been because I didn’t really explain my problem correctly!
    :-[

I’ll try and explain what’s happening.

    1. On the Telline II demo site

    a. When you click on a section, the ‘grey’ bits of the site turn to a specified colour (in this case ‘red’):

    b. Clicking on a ‘Category’ within this section produces the same result:

    2. This doesn’t work correctly on my site

    a. Even though I modified the existing ‘World’ section and categories from the original Quick Start demo site. The section colours are working fine:

    b.
However, the problem is when I access the category pages. All the ‘red’ has gone and everything is back to grey again:

My question: How to get the categories to use the same colours as the sections?

As usual, any assistance greatly appreciated. 🙂

    Hey Chris

is this on your questbulgaria site? I tried to access the site using the link in your sig but for some reason it’s not coming up (maybe it’s my connection at work?!?!)

maybe it’s the way the css has been linked to the page? just a quick thought but would like to look at the site before I make a formal suggestion.

    reet,

i’m at work at the mo but had a quick look for you. The problem (what I think) seems to lie with the moomenu.

what is happening is that when you click on the initial link in your mainmenu, it’s taking the css properties from the theme-{colour}.css file (red for property, orange for legal and finance etc). but when you click on a submenu link, it’s only taking the css properties from the ja.moomenu.css

I think you might need to re-link the relevant css files to the correct paths or do something in the moomenu css file.

hope that puts you in the right direction

    🙂

Not really! I’m not good editing css files.

However, you’ve given me a clue so I’ll have a roam around the .css files and see if I can spot something obvious!

    Thanks again for your input.

    Best Wishes

    Hi Chris

I am connecting from Singapore and no problems with connecting to your site. Its loads pretty fast.

Btw, your site is pretty cool. You have done a good job of using the Teline II template and adding the advert modules etc .Do you own the business ?

    Hi Everyone

Thanks for the support and posts!

It’s back up now (at last), after a few hours arguing with my hosting company that an ‘Internal Server Error’ is not something I’ve done!! They finally accepted it was their problem and fixed it.

@ hainn84: site back up, please try again!

@ anisjolly: it’s back up now (for the moment anyway, think I’ll be changing hosting company though!)

@ 2patrick: yes I own the business, the site pays for my wife and I to live!! Thanks for the nice comments

    Cheers everyone

    Hi Chris

Btw, what hosting company is it ? Have to avoid them like plague!
Who are you considering now ?

To be honest this is the first problem I’ve had with them. They’ve been really cool with helping me sort Joomla, upgrades, extension installs, etc., free of charge, so can’t really complain too much! Their 24 hour support is very good too. I guess I was in a major panic when site was down this morning!

The hosting company has come back to me and offered me a ‘personal’ fileserver at a very good rate of money, so maybe I’ll stick with them for now!

Apart from this morning, I’ve never had problems!

    Hi hainn84

    THANK YOU!! Looks good now.

I have one more ‘colour’ related question if you don’t mind.

I have duplicated one of the ‘standard’ colour .css files, renamed it to ‘discounts’, changed the colour ID and input this for my section ID in the JA News module:

This seems to be working fine in the ‘discounts’ section and categories:

However, this doesn’t alter my ‘mouseover’ on the JA News area of the home page. The section name stays in the old colour:

How can I apply the colour to that rollover on the section name? Have I missed this somewhere in the .css file?

    Thanks again
    Chris
