I have noticed that each time i clear the cache so i can see updates made on my site the site goes down for 5 to 10 minutes. It eventually comes back up with the changes made. This never happened with the Teline IV template that I am using on another site. Any ideas?

    Hi
Do you have high traffic site ?
And have you checked w/ your hosting provider, please check into log file to see what’s going ?
Btw, what do you mean “goes down for 5 – 10 min ?” . Blank page ? No respond ?
    Thank you,

Hi, we have not launched the site yet we are still building it. When I say it goes down it just has a column of text down the left hand side of the page which has all the main menu item headings in a list form.

    Hi
I see. In your localhost please enable display_errors so you can get error message ( php code ) to find out root of trouble.

    Thank you,

Sorry do you mean in my global configuration in my joomla admin area or in my hosting account with my hosting provider?

Better update in php.ini config 🙂
You can ask your hosting provider about this.

Joomla! Global config can use also ( if php.ini allow set via php code )
    Thank you,
