My site was hacked. Has anyone had this template or another joomla site hacked by this person or any other type of hack?

I was wanting to know if anyone knows of how the hack may have happened. and a possible fix.

Most likely you was using joomla 1.5.x and didnt update till the latest version.

There been some big security leaks in joomla 1.5 so make sure you keep it up to date.

The biggest leak was that they can reset the password of the first user wich is almost always the admin.

you are correct. I just replaced the index file with a backup and changed my login via phpmyadmin. I am downloading the latest version as we speak. Thanks.

Keep an eye out on joomla 1.5.x releases tho, as there are comming new updates frequently last weeks.

My site was hacked by using the component Expose.
Update your joomla to 1.5.7
