June 29, 2008 at 10:15 pm #257055Where do you get the feeds from?
You can turn on cache for each feed.
You can change host, since there is 460 other sites using same ip.
You can optimize all images.
You can skip some RSS feeds.
You can optimize the whole template, which requires some work. You should optimize the images for partners, aflac.png is 86kb and 150*85px….

June 29, 2008 at 11:41 pm #257071i am turning the cache on for the feeds right now… the feeds are a necessity for each team….the image’s — ie team headers are either gif’s or jpg’s so small file size… the feeds come from many different destinations…etc…
the host i have no control over since my client chose them…. was it slow on your end as well?
what would i need to do to optimize the template… i am all ears…
i will make the adjustments to the partners pix right now….
thanks

July 6, 2008 at 11:49 pm #258208My site is also slow. I used preinstalled JA for 1.5.2
I am checking with the host server to see if they are hosting lots of sites on that IP.
I don’t have images or rss, why is mine slower? infact I have unpublished several modules and retained only the ones that I need.
Unfortunately, I am unable to publicize the site here, Menalto – sorry to bother you, sent PM’d you with the site. Probably there might be some inherent prblem with template itself.
