January 30, 2013 at 7:30 pm #184524I am following up on the ticket below…any resolution please? I noticed that the Ja Login module has been disabled. The challenge with this is that members will not be able to login to restricted pages and prospective members no longer have the option to register on the site. So I will appreciate a fix….Thanks

Subject: Home page messed up after JA Login Update
I recently updated JA Login using JA extension Manager on my web site and now the entire website is messed up. The login form and registration form are both showing on top of the pages now, pushing every other page content down. This appears to happen everytime there is a new update to ja login module.

January 31, 2013 at 11:54 am #481866I tried to access Template Manager and check quickacess postion on JA_Orisite – Default but it throws the following error:

”You are not permitted to use that link to directly access that page (#121).”

Please help to check it again
For the new position of “quickacess” JA_Orisite – Default, i do not see it in default template, have you just added it ? You can send me the screenshot where does it show?

February 1, 2013 at 2:10 pm #482020Thanks…I have enabled the Ja login module in quickaccess again as requested. I have previously reported the issue with the “You are not permitted…” error but support was unable to resolve this so I am having to frustratingly live with it. The only way round this is to place a check in the module or item checkbox and then click on the Edit button on the admin menu. That will take you to the Edit screen for the item.
Anyway, please navigate to the webpage now to see the issue I reported in context…the entire page is now beneath the opened login/registration forms.

February 1, 2013 at 2:37 pm #482024Update – I have unpublished the Ja Login module. A few minutes after I republished it and the site look weird again, I started getting phone calls and emails form members about the weird look. Please when you are ready to work on this, kindly place a check in the Ja login module checkbox and then click on the Edit button on the top of the admin menu. That will take you to the Edit screen for the module. You can then browse to the frontpage to see the weird look/layout. Unfortunately, this is the only way to edit any item in the backend. Just so you know the impact, no site member has been able to login to view restricted items since the issue started. We have had to temporarily made restricted pages public.

February 1, 2013 at 2:40 pm #482026Try enabling the module now and see if that works.
I have done a rollback on the JA Login module as there appears to be a conflict.

February 2, 2013 at 8:16 pm #482181Works fine now. It may have been a cache issue. So question is is there any thing I can do to take advantage of the new update? I know it is a compatibility issue, but one will hope the update works for all your templates including orisite since it is an extension included in that template.

February 2, 2013 at 8:49 pm #482183Maybe it was a cache issue all along. Try updating again using JA extension manager.

November 4, 2013 at 6:57 pm #511166I am having the exact/same issue again with Ja_login on my site. The initial issue was that all of a sudden new users are unable to create new account as they are getting empty solution not allowed error. I found out that the captcha button was not showing up in the Ja login module even though the captcha is enabled.
I then upgraded to the latest version of ja login and the site went wacky like describe in this thread. I rolled back to the previous version, and now the login is now on top and all the other elements on the home page is pushed down.
I have cleared my cache and tried from different browsers with similar wacky result.
I attempted multiple times to submit a support ticket and when I click submit, I am getting
“504 Gateway Time-out
nginx/1.0.15”
Thanks

November 5, 2013 at 10:57 am #511250Hi omojesu2,
For this JA Login module issue, you can try to rename or remove folder templatesja_orisitehtmlmod_jalogin . That ways, the template will load the default layout of our JA Login module, instead of overridden layout in template.
Try this and clear JAT3 cache after saving changes. Don’t forget to inform me if it works.

"504 Gateway Time-outCan you try to clear your browser cache and submit a ticket again ? We will check and reply.

November 7, 2013 at 2:29 am #511410There is no mod_jalogin folder in the location specified below on my site.
I have now been able to submit the ticket now. The ticket # is #UNB-425-53327.
BTW – I have temporarily disabled ja-login module until the issue is resolved. The reason is that apart from messing up the site layout, site members are also not able to login and visitors are unable to create new accounts. so I am temporarily using another third-party login module that I just downloaded from the joomla extension store.
Thanks
