hello guys,
i work on localhost and i try to install twitter mod on teline iv…but when i try to see the result on site, after several minutes of loading, i receive this error

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to twitter.com:80 (…) in …modulesmod_jatwitterjatwitter.php on line 389

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in ….modulesmod_jatwitterjatwitter.php on line 389

i’ve tried the solutions of other threads but still not work (and i still try with the configuration of demo site: name jomlart and relative api key)…can someone help me?

your machine seemed to have some problems with connecting twitter.please type twitter.com in your address to see if you can access it?

Which setup on localhost are you using? Wamp, Xamppp, Mamp etc?

i use xampp 1.7.1, moreover i can see my site only on 127.0.0.1 and not on /localhost/ and mod_jabullettin don’t work in content-mass-bot position (the error should be on method.php)…i love this template 🙂

It does sound like your local setup may be the problek here but as I am not there I really cannot assist any further appart from suggesting trying one of the other alternative local setups such as a later version of xampp or Wamp.

The localhost vs 127.0.0.1 problem is definately not template related.

i use that version of xampp becouse of php version, which should be 2.9. this is what i’ve read.
However i’m in trouble with other things like the thread i’ve wrote, the images which are only resizible and not cropped (i don’t understand why…there’s an option for this, but don’t work) and the error (on methods.php) with bulletin mod…i hope someone can help me

its pretty hard for me to address the issue, at my machine twitter works fine, like Phill Im not at your place to see your localhost config. Could you try to upload your site to a live host? We can assist you easier then.
