Please post nominations in this thread. One post per person. Competition details available here: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/new-competition-site-of-the-month/

Reply in this thread with your URL that you’d like nominated.

Make sure the domain is LICENSED! It is unbelievable how many entries I receive that are not licensed. We will not add any unlicensed domain to the poll! If you don’t know how to license your domain, contact me.

    Hello

I would like to nominate a website that I have been developing for a while.

    URL: http://site.voiceofbolton.com
    Template used: JA Corona
    Joomla 1.5

I’ve completely modified the JA Corona template. This site is is still work in progress, hence one or two pages do not yet have any content on them and the homepage has test articles on them.

This website is due to go live mid July.

If anyone would like to know the full functionality feature – let me know. I’d be happy to list out all of the features, including a very unique (no one else has as it’s custom to me) news article feature and archive system.

    Thanks

    Anis

    Hi,
I would like to nominate a site that is currently in process of development. It is not a great change of a template in terms of design, but has amazing functionallity in terms of using only native 1.5 extensions (all of them still either alpha or beta).

    URL: http://www.joomla-translations.org
    Template used: JA Helio

The site is non-profit and basically Joomla! community oriented and as of now functions in two languages, although approximatelly another 10 are planned till the end of the year.

Except the very cool JA Helio template from Joomlart, it uses also IDOBlog, RokDownloads and Joom!Fish.

I would like to nominate my site Lijepa naša, Link: http://www.lijepanasa.info

Local news portal, build from Joomla 1.0.15, and template it’s based on Ja Barite/Ja Teline

I have started from Ja Barite, but then i have multiple solution take from Ja Teline(tabs, highslide,…), and some custom solution. And i use Ja_news_fp, ja_news combinations with ijoomla news.

Vote for Lijepa naša, this is proof how you can easy customize Joomlart template from multiple templates.

    Layout

    P.S
And i have read rules, and there says that template it’s enough to be based on some Joomlart templates.
I think that should no problem with my nomination

The client has modified (a.k.a. messed up) the text formatting on some of the pages but you get the idea.

LOVE the logo, LOVE the header section . . . . the content section needs something with a bit more pizzaz.

Nice work on the upper half, though !!

    Thanks,

Yea their budget is used up. Pictures etc. would do their content wonders. Luckily they are planning on moving the entire school site over to this site in a few months which will give me the time/resources to do the content justice.

I would like to nominate my site:

    URL: http://www.terhorst-metaaltechniek.nl
    Template used: JA Zibal
    Joomla 1.0.15

Its my first website i made in joomla a while ago, not that many modifications to the template.

    Mods:
    expose fotobook
    sh404SEF
    mod_auto_analytics for google analitycs
mod_S5MapIt for routeplanner using google maps

Finally finished it as they finally send in the tekst + foto’s they wanted 😛

Simple small website for not a big company.

I would like to nominate the following site:

    URL: http://www.sse-luzius.de
    Template used: JA Teline II
    Joomla 1.5.3

The website introduces a new method of navigation to improve the usability (the five menue boxes at the top of the site). All over the website you can find elements of the JA Teline II Template. E.g. if you click in the third box “Feste des Glaubens” on the menu entry “Beichte” you will see the mod_ja_catslwi used as download hint.
At the first box “Seelsorgeeinheit” click on “Aktuelles” and you will see “JA News 1.3.1” working on category-level.

The website is a non-comercial site of a german catholic community named as “Seelsorgeeinheit St. Luzius”.

This site demonstrates what can be done based on a good template.
