For our first Site Of The Month competition we had a lot of entries from customers who’ve developed amazing quality websites from our products and services at JoomlArt.com

It was very hard to vote for who I thought should win, and I’m sure it was the same for everyone. After the poll was launched, we have numerous entries which have decided on our winner.

So, without further ado I’d like to award this month’s Site Of The Month competition to…

will the winner be notified? Maybe they don’t even know they have been nominated here … ?
The link to the site to the site was discorvered on the virtuemart forum .. so I can imagine they don’t even know

Hi balticfurnitures, congrats for winning the award. I think you have honstly deserved it.
Just one question … would you mind sharing the secret how you have managed to implement the slideshow for the product images on the product details page?
I think this is the best modification of virtuemart I have ever seen (beside the modification of the template of course :))

Although they deserved to win by the vote I really think that the winner should be a member of JA.

hmm … how about those whose membership has expired? Don’t they deserve their site being nominated?
And how will you know the member status if you stumble across a joomlart site? Or do you want nominations be limited to the showcase thread … but then again what would be the benefit? I think the good thing about such an award is to see what is possible … however, it doesn’t seem too popular anyway … or too unknown … who knows.

I think my problem is that they were notified and the rule for redemption was stated as this:

    “Redemption Of Prize
If you are a winner, you must send us an email to webmaster@joomlart.com with the subject “Site Of The Month Prize Redemption”. You must also include your url and month in which you have won. The email must come from the email address that your account has been registered with.”

So this would suggest to me that the winner would most likely be a current member or someone who regularly visits JA. In all fairness they should be notified but that wasn’t how JA set up this contest.

I think as long as they have bought the template and have done such a good job with it, they have every right to win the prize.
Don’t think anyone is really bothered if they did not get an extended licence…looking at the winning site I’d say they didn’t really need one.

    Well done again

The only dissapointing thing about the whole thing was the number of people who didn’t vote
