Trying to set up the slider. Using photos that are with the demo and just trying to get it to look like the demo for now.
The left arrow is not displaying it is saying “left direction”.
The sizing and padding doesn’t seem to be applying well. At least not like the template.
What are the demo settings???
you can view it here

September 4, 2007 at 1:51 am #228719Your re-left.gif got an error, try to delete the current re-left.gif and make a copy of re-left-hover.gif and rename it to re-left.gif.

September 4, 2007 at 2:33 am #228722hi birddog,
the first your re-left.gif is has error. you can check by copy the url of image
“http://newtownphotography.ca/modules/mod_ja_slidegallery/re-left.gif” and paste in new tab or window in your browse you will see this error
“The image “http://newtownphotography.ca/modules/mod_ja_slidegallery/re-left.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.”
try to create or copy a new image,
The second, your thumbnail image size you can config in admin cp by login ang go to module -> mod_ja_slidegallery and config thumb width and thumb height property. Thanks for reading and goodluck
September 4, 2007 at 6:43 am #228751I am having precisely the same problem. When I enter “http://www.mysite.com/modules/mod_ja_slidegallery/re-left.gif” in a new tab I also get the “cannot be displayed” error. So I extracted the module on my hard drive and replaced the “re-left.gif” file with a fresh copy, but I still get the same error. Does the file in the actual module have an error?

Just did that, but I get the same problem. Is it possible that somehow the coding is pointing to the wrong location for the image? The hover over image works fine, just not the normal one.September 4, 2007 at 4:26 pm #228801Replacing the image worked.
It appears the url is being coded wrong – in my case it was using .COM instead of .CA

Okay found a solution in one of the other posts. Think this should be added to the users manual – it’s not intuitive.
For the bottom scrolling image you need to create a sub folder named ‘thumbs” inside the folder that contains your images. They need to be named the same.
