The slideshow should only be displaying two images but after the second image there is a period of time where there is just a blank space. Module #1174

Now the Max Articles Display is to 5 and I think there are only 2 articles which has images, so the 2 images appears and the rest 3 appears to be blank.

Now I have set the Max Articles Display is to 2. Now the issue is fixed.

make the latest articles has images.
