Yes , JA Spica don’t have slideshow , But you can install slideshow for it . What slideshow type you want to use ? content slideshow or image slideshow ?

i cant figure out with the modules positions :confused: i want to to use ja newsflash right under the top menu, to become something like the frontpage slideshow of joomlaworks.gr

You can load http://template.joomlart.com/ja_spica/?tp=1 to view position in JA Spica template , I think that you try to put JA newsflash module to “top” position.
