    Hi,
    I have published search module in slideshow position but it’s half hide and without background image
    can you tell me why?

    What do u mean by search background? Can u give mockup how u want it to display?

    JomEvents Search module is in slideshow position ant it have an background image, now seems it is in masthead position and I see only halg module

    its is beucase you are using masthead position.
    I suggest you to use the Home position for the template style you are using.
    Changing the name via template layout options for a position does not change its code.
    Either you have to change the position or add new module position.
    Also, i checked there is no backgroud image in the search module.

    For module position you added changed the name of position from layout.

    You can see there is no module position in default layout : http://prntscr.com/dzlgf9
    Its masthead.
    I added
    <?php $this->loadBlock('home') ?>
    Position above subnav position you can use this module position .
    Use home position for your module.

    Now add this code in custom.css file

    #section-96 {padding-top:60px}
    

    Save changes and check.
