December 1, 2013 at 11:09 am #192663I cannot wrap my head around this. I’m trying to setup the slideshow in Joomla 3. I have all the images working properly. When I edit the text for the first image, it shows up on the homepage properly. But, eventually, as I enter the text for my next 4 images, something goes wrong. I click save and the module reverts back to some sort of default stage. All options revert – the image folder reverts to /images – and my slideshow is missing on the homepage.
If I change the image folder back to /images/joomlart/jabrisk/myfolder all of the image icons appear again, but all the text has been erased.
WTF?! It took me several times of being screwed before I copied and pasted all text into a word document, just in case. I’ve wasted so much time recreating textual content here. Grrrr.
So, am I crazy? Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a glitch? It is a brand new Quickstart install, and I haven’t touch anything else yet.

December 2, 2013 at 11:23 am #514089Hi earthson,
Is slideshow module in your site up-to-date? Please try to update it to the latest version and try to add again. If problem still persists, PM me admin login info – ftp account, then I will try to check for you.
Regards,
Nazario A

December 3, 2013 at 1:59 pm #514219Hey Nazario. I assumed it was current because it came in the Quickstart package. After closer inspection, it was old. I tried updating via the Joomla control panel, but I kept getting this error:
Error
COM_INSTALLER_INVALID_EXTENSION_UPDATE
So, in the end, I just downloaded the package from your site, and uploaded through the installer. Now everything works properly with the module. Thanks so much!
Off topic – do you know why I was getting that error? Any ideas?

December 4, 2013 at 5:08 am #514265HI Earthson,
The above error will occur when you update JA extensions with Joomla update service – which is used for free Joomla extension only.
It’s recommended to use our JA Extension Manager (JAEM) to update our products
