My slides have transparency which would help blend with a photo background, not solid color as in template. However, even though PNG images have transparency the background doesn’t blend — there are hard edges to each image.

Your BG image is working fine . I am not able to get your problem .
Do you want to remove the Slide white color effect like this >> removed

Add this code in custom.css file

Yes, that is correct. I want to add transparency and delete the existing CSS mask.

Can you remove those screenshots? My site is not live/public yet. Thanks.
