September 26, 2014 at 9:13 pm #201634Hi,
But I’m trying to point the check it out buttons to a separate page (the buttons on the images of the images in the slideshow). Instead they just keep creating that panel at the bottom on the homepage with the image and some text.
Any idea on how to change that? Here is my site url: http://hammerfiber.com/
Many thanks

September 29, 2014 at 8:17 am #550969Hi,
Please make sure that the “Check it out” button point to an article and in Main Menu, there must be at least 1 menu item point to category contains that article or the article itself.

September 29, 2014 at 5:17 pm #551028I still can’t find out where the check it out button is in order to link it to a menu item.
Thanks

September 30, 2014 at 9:09 am #551127Hi,
Thanks for the detail, please see my answers below :
1. To change the link of “Check it out” button in each slide, please navigate to Admin >>> Content >>> Article Manager >>> hit the Search Tools button and choose to display all articles in category “Slideshow“. Here you can update the content of each article accordingly via WYSIWYG editor.
2. Look like you misunderstood my previous answer. For example, please navigate to Admin >>> Menus >>> Main Menu >>> create new menu item named Slideshow >>> choose to display article in category “Slideshow” >>> Save your setting and recheck.
In demo site, whenever you click any “Check it out” button, the menu item Hiring is highlighted (you can locate it near footer, there are several menus there). That means 4 slides are from category named “Hiring” and there’s a menu item in menu named “Company” linked to that category.
