hi,
can someone please explain how to set the parameters for descriptions in the slideshow module in Methys? this is really unclear in the user guide. i’ve tried huypl’s solution in this thread, as well as the settings recommended in the user guide, and i still can’t seem to get any description to appear on my slideshow images.
i’ve read that the Show Description setting needs to be set to “Description Only,” but this doesn’t work. in fact, the Readmore text appears even when i have it set to show “Description Only.”
i’ve provided all my login info. to preview changes to the site, you’ll need to go directly to http://seekandeat.com/index.php (i currently have another splash page currently set up as the landing page.)

Can you add this into the module settings under description? Set opacity to 0.8. It took me a while to get descriptions working on my site, but they’re working now. I’ll see if I can help.
This is a long description which should appear in front of one of the slideshow images!

Unfortunately, I just noticed another issue. Whenever you turn on the option to show a description, it disables the arrows. Have you experienced this issue?

yep yep. It’s because there’s a mask the same dimensions as the front image sitting overtop the front image (and arrows). You can change its dimensions and move it like I described here:

It look as the text is not there at all…

Also I must say that you “ticket system” is useless when you guys keep closing the tickets all the time even when the problem is not solved.. and also no comments on why you are closing it… ?!!!?
Kind of bugs the hell out of me :/
